Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson hopes Wilfried Zaha’s injury is not serious.
The Ivory Coast international ended the English Premier League game against Chelsea in some discomfort on Saturday.
Hodgson has revealed that he is hoping it’s nothing more than just a painful moment.
“I think he got caught on the foot, as happens sometimes, and they’re very painful,” Hodgson said.
“Sometimes we forget that; the further we get from the field of play things like having someone stand on your foot we think that the player should just shrug that off.
“At the moment he’s icing that part of his foot and I suppose we will have to wait and see if anything more serious has been done to him.”
Palace were beaten 2-0 by their London rivals Chelsea on the day.
Zaha is part of the Ivory Coast squad which will face Nigeria and Ethiopia in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers later this month.
