The draw has been made for the pool stages of the CAF Confederation Cup with Nigerian side Enugu Rangers placed in the Group of Death with Egyptian duo Al-Masry and Pyramids FC.
Mauritanian side FC Nouadhibou are the fourth team in Group A, but are likely to struggle against the heavyweight trio, with the Egyptian pair facing off in what are likely to be two feisty battles.
Group B sees South African side BidVest Wits, who debut in the pool stages, taking on Al-Nasr Benghazi of Libya, Malien side Djoliba and Horoya AC from Guinea, who have caused damage to both Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in the Champions League in the recent past.
Group C contains Zambian side Zanaco, along with DC Motema Pembe from DR Congo, ESAE FC of Benin and Moroccan side RS Berkane, who were beaten finalists last year.
The final pool has another Nigerian outfit, Enyimba FC, who will make regular trips to North Africa after being grouped with Paradou AC off Algeria and Moroccan side Hassania Agadir, as well as FC San Pédro from the Ivory Coast.
The first round of group matches will be played on November 29 with the top two teams in each pool advancing to the quarterfinals.
