Zimbabwe and Botswana are set to lock horns in the opening 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Friday.

Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT.

The Group H match will take place at the National Sports Stadium in Zimbabwe’s capital city, Harare.

The Warriors will look to South African-based duo of Khama Billiat and Oviy Karuru when they take on Botswana.

Zimbabwe have participated in four AFCON finals and they are hoping to qualify for the fifth time.

Joey Antipas, the Warriors interim coach, will be looking to impress by masterminding a win over the Zebras.

Meanwhile, Botswana key players Mpho Kgaswane and Mogakolodi Ngele will be expected to help the team secure a win in Harare.

The Zebras have made only one appearance in the AFCON finals and they are keen to qualify for the second time.

Abdel Amrouche, the Botswana head coach, will be hoping to ensure that his side avoids a defeat against Zimbabwe.

Algeria and Zambia will meet in the other Group H encounter in Blida on Wednesday.
