Mohamed Salah is set to miss Liverpool’s English Premier League game away to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Egypt international missed his country’s back-to-back 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya and Comoros due to an ankle injury, aggravated in the Reds 3-1 win over Manchester City earlier this month.
And Liverpool’s upcoming league clash has come too early for the 27-year-old who has scored nine goals in 17 appearances across all competitions this season.
Cameroon international Joel Matip is also a doubt for this weekend’s clash as he continues his recovery from a knee injury sustained last month.
Liverpool head into the fixture eight points clear of second placed Leicester City, having won 11 of their 12 games this season.
