Mali international Moussa Marega was named Player of the Year at his Portuguese side FC Porto after a stellar 2019 in which he has scored 11 goals in all competitions.
The 28-year-old, who has been in and out of the side in recent weeks through injury, is the second African to claim the prize after Algerian Yacine Brahimi two years ago.
He has netted four goals so far this campaign, but none since mid-September as injuries take their toll.
He has also not played for Mali since the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals due to his injury lay-offs.
French-born Marega made his name at Amiens in the 2013/14 season before a brief spell with Esperance in Tunisia.
He later joined Portuguese side Maritimo and then FC Porto, while he also had a lone spell with Vitoria Guimaraes.
