Baroka FC will be looking to build momentum in the Absa Premiership when they host Golden Arrows at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday 27 November 2019, kick-off at 19h30.
Baroka claimed a first league win since mid-September when they defeated Limpopo rivals Polokwane City 1-0 away from home on November 9, thanks to a first goal from striker Prince Nxumalo. Bakgaga have claimed just three points from six home matches this season.
Arrows have taken seven points from the last nine up for grabs and became the first team to defeat Mamelodi Sundowns in a home match in 2019/20, winning 3-2 on November 10 thanks in the main to a brace from Knox Mutizwa. However, Abafana Bes’thende have claimed just three points from five away matches this term.
In head-to-head stats, Arrows and Baroka have met in six league matches since 2016/17. Abafana Bes’thende have claimed two wins compared to one for Bakgaga, while three games have been drawn. The Limpopo side has recorded two draws and one defeat from their three home matches in the rivalry.
Last season the teams’ two league meetings produced two away wins: Baroka triumphed 2-1 at Princess Magogo Stadium in November 2018, while the return game at Peter Mokaba Stadium in March 2019 was won 1-0 by Arrows thanks to a late goal from Wayde Jooste.
