Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to break their winless streak in the Absa Premiership when they host AmaZulu at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday 26 November 2019, kick-off at 19h30.

Sundowns have gone three league matches without a win and suffered their second loss of the season when they went down 3-2 at Golden Arrows on November 10. The Brazilians have claimed 10 points from five home matches this season, though their last game as hosts ended in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of log leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

AmaZulu saw their three-game winning streak in the league brought to a sudden end, as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Chippa United on November 9. Usuthu have claimed just four points from five away matches so far in 2019/20.

In head-to-head stats, Sundowns and AmaZulu have met in 57 league matches since 1985. The Brazilians have claimed 36 wins compared to eight for Usuthu, while 13 matches have been drawn. The Tshwane side has won 16 of their 28 home matches in the rivalry, suffering six defeats in the process.

AmaZulu took four points off Sundowns last season, with the teams drawing 3-3 at King Zwelithini Stadium in September 2018, while the return game at Loftus Versfeld in January 2019 brought a 2-0 win for the KwaZulu-Natal side, thanks to an own goal from Tebogo Langerman and a strike by Ovidy Karuru.

Sundowns’ line-up from their 3-2 loss to Arrows on November 10: Onyango, Ngcongca (Lukhubeni 86′), Madisha, Lebusa, Langerman, Mkhulise (Meza 55′), Coetzee, Jali, Lakay, Morena, Affonso (Vilakazi 68′).

AmaZulu’s line-up from their 2-0 loss to Chippa on November 9: Mbatha, M. Gumede (Masilela 81’), Xoki, Booysen, Maduna (Ncubeni 70’), Darpoh, Morton, Sithebe, Karuru (De Jong 70’), Majoro, Ntuli.
