Highlands Park will look to break their winless streak in the Absa Premiership when they host Bidvest Wits at Makhulong Stadium on Tuesday 26 November 2019, kick-off at 19h30.

Highlands have gone three league matches without a victory after playing to a 0-0 draw away to 10-man Stellenbosch on November 9. The Lions of the North have taken nine points from a possible 15 at home in the 2019/20 campaign.

Wits saw their winning run in the league brought to a halt by SuperSport United, as they were beaten 1-0 at home on November 8. The Clever Boys, though, boast a 100 percent away record this season, with three wins from as many matches on the road.

In head-to-head stats, Highlands and Wits have met in four top-flight league matches since 2016/17. The Clever Boys have claimed two wins compared to one for the Lions of the North, while one game has been drawn. The Tembisa-based teas recorded one win and one defeat from two home matches in the rivalry.

The league meetings of these two teams last season produced two home wins: Wits triumphed 1-0 in Johannesburg in October 2018, while Highlands responded with a 2-1 victory at Makhulong Stadium in the return game in February 2019.

Highlands’ line-up from their 0-0 draw with Stellenbosch on November 9: Heugh; Munyai (Mbhele 77′), Williams, Rae, Mzava, Mbunjana (Mvala 52′), Mokoena, Mbatha, Ramagalela, Shalulile, Ndoro (Molafi 64′).

Wits’ line-up from their 1-0 loss to SuperSport on November 8: Goss, Hlatshwayo, Nonyane, Monare (Nange 56′), Hotto, Hlanti, Alexander, Mkhwanazi, Doutie (Pelembe 20′), Motupa, Macuphu (Dzvukamanja 77′).
