Chippa United will chase a second win of the Absa Premiership season when they host Black Leopards at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday 27 November 2019, kick-off at 19h30.
Chippa finally claimed their first league win of 2019/20 when they defeated AmaZulu 2-0 away on November 9, courtesy of two goals from winger William Twala. The Chilli Boys have claimed just four points from six home matches so far this campaign.
Leopards claimed their third win of the season when they defeated Cape Town City 2-1 at home on November 10, with goals from Robert Ngambi and Lesedi Kapinga. Lidoda Duvha have taken five points from four away matches in 2019/20.
In head-to-head stats, Leopards and Chippa have met in four top-flight league matches since 2012/13. Both the Chilli Boys have and Lidoda Duvha have claimed one win, while two games have been drawn. The Eastern Cape side has an unbeaten record at home, with one win and one draw from two turns as hosts in the rivalry.
Last season the two league meetings of the teams produced nine goals: Chippa’s home game in August 2018 ended in a 2-2 draw, while the return game at Thohoyandou Stadium in March 2019 saw Leopards come from 0-2 down to win 3-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Mwape Musonda.
