Chippa United will target a hat-trick of Absa Premiership wins when Baroka FC come to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday 1 December 2019, kick-off at 15h30.
Chippa claimed a second straight win when they defeated Black Leopards 3-0 at home on November 27, with goals from Thabo Rakhale, Augustine Kwem and William Twala. The Chilli Boys have claimed seven points from as many home matches this season.
Baroka suffered a sixth defeat of the season when they conceded a late goal to succumb 1-0 at home to Golden Arrows on November 27. Bakgaga have claimed nine points from their five away matches so far in the 2019/20 campaign.
In head-to-head stats, Chippa and Baroka have met in six league matches since 2016/17. The Chilli Boys have claimed three wins compared to one for Bakgaga, while two games have been drawn. The Eastern Cape side has recorded two wins and one defeat from three home matches in the rivalry.
Last season Chippa took four points off Baroka, winning 1-0 in the Eastern Cape in September 2018, while the return game in the Limpopo province ended 1-1 in February 2019 – with goals from Matome Mabeba and Bonginkosi Makume (own goal).
