Zamalek head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic is a confident man ahead of their clash with TP Mazembe.
The battle between the two former African champions will take place on Saturday as they look to start their CAF Champions League Group A campaigns with a win.
Mazembe will play host to Egyptian football powerhouse Zamalek at the Stade TP Mazembe in the DR Congolese city of Lubumbashi.
“There are some obstacles that will face us like artificial turf, the weather and the fans,” Sredojevic told King Fut.
“That is why we arrived earlier to get used to the atmosphere.
The Serbian tactician feels that Zamalek, who are the reigning CAF Confederation Cup champions, can secure a win in DR Congo.
“We will battle for a positive result. It is an important game considering it’s our opener in the group stages,” he added.
“We know the opposition’s worth well and also their coach is a friend of mine.
“I know Mazembe’s players’ abilities but Zamalek are the CAF Confederations Cup champions and everyone is ready for this encounter.”
