Egyptian football heavyweights Zamalek have appointed Frenchman Patrice Carteron as their head coach.
The accomplished tactician has replaced Serbian trainer Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, who parted ways with the club on Monday.
The Cairo giants have since announced Carteron as their coach on their official website on Tuesday afternoon.
“Zamalek’s board of directors, headed by Chancellor Mourtada Mansour, has decided to appoint Frenchman Patrice Carteron as technical director of the club’s first football team.”
“Carteron is assisted in his mission by Sami al-Shishini, Amir Abdel Aziz’s assistants, and Greek Antonio coach of loads.”
“Carteron is due to arrive in Cairo on Tuesday,” a club statement read.
The 49-year-old is back in Egypt having coach Zamalek’s rivals Al Ahly in 2018.
