Riyad Mahrez became the first Algerian to net 50 goals in the English Premier League when he scored for Manchester City in their 4-1 victory at Burnley on Tuesday.
Mahrez is also the ninth African player to reach that mark, joining a list of legends that includes Didier Drogba, Emmanuel Adebayor, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Efan Ekoku, Yaya Toure, Nwankwo Kanu, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
The 28-year-old reached the milestone in his 177th appearance in the competition, having netted 39 times during his time at Leicester City and now 11 for City.
Mahrez was instrumental in Leicester claiming the Premier League title in 2015–16, and has followed that up with championship success at City too last season.
