Former Ivory Coast international Wilfried Bony could make a return to the field in January.

The 31-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Swansea City in July, but is set to undergo a reported trial with French Ligue 2 side Le Havre next month in an aim to rekindle his career.

Bony made a name for himself at Vitesse Arnhem and Swansea before moving to current English Premier League champions Manchester City in 2015.

He managed just 11 goals in 46 appearances for the Sky Blues before ill-fated spells at Stoke City, Al Arabi and back with the Swans where he failed to show the kind of form that earned him a move to Manchester.

Le Havre currently occupy fifth place in French Ligue 2, eight points behind league leaders Lorient at this stage of the season.

Bony scored 18 goals in 59 appearances for the Elephants.
