Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wants out of the club.
According to The Independent, the Gabon international is among several players open to leaving the Gunners in the January transfer window.
The North London club have struggled this season and head into Saturday’s game away to Everton in 10th place on the English Premier League standings, on the back of a 3-0 loss to Manchester City.
Former Arsenal skipper Mikel Arteta will reportedly be announced as Unai Emery’s successor on Friday, but even his arrival will reportedly not be enough to persuade those who are eager to continue their careers elsewhere to stay at the Emirates.
Aubameyang, who was handed the armband following Granit Xhaka’s run-in with the Arsenal faithful earlier this season, has been the club’s star player.
The 30-year-old has scored 13 goals in 21 appearances this season, taking his tally up to 54 goals in 86 games since joining Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.
