Esperance, Mazembe drop points in CAF Champions League

Raja Casablanca were the only winners on match-day three of the CAF Champions League group stage on Friday.

The Moroccan giants secured a 2-0 victory over Algerian side JS Kabylie in a Group D match at the Stade Mohammed V.

Despite the victory, Raja remained second on the group standings, while Kabylie are placed third on the log.

At the Stade Olympique de Radès, Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis were held to a 0-0 draw by DRC giants AS Vita Club.

However, Esperance are still at the top of the Group D standings, while Vita Club are sitting at the fourth spot on the table.

Lastly, Vita Club’s local rivals, TP Mazembe collected a point away when they drew 0-0 with Angolan side CD Primeiro de Agosto at the Estádio 11 de Novembro.

As a result, Mazembe remained at the top of the Group A standings, while Agosto are placed third on the table.
