Mbwana Samatta could soon become the first Tanzanian footballer to play in the English Premier League.
The Genk forward has attracted widespread interest according The Guardian with clubs from across Europe vying for his signature.
According to the report, Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion, Norwich City and Crystal Palace have all expressed interest in signing the 27-year-old in the January transfer window.
German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt and Italian Serie A side Lazio are also said to be keen on adding the forward to their respective teams this month.
Samatta has been one of the Belgium Pro League’s best players over the last few seasons since joining Genk from African powerhouse TP Mazembe four years ago.
He finished top scorer in Belgium last season and has netted 10 goals in 28 appearances across all competitions in the current campaign.
