Highlands Park and Stellenbosch will both be looking to bounce back from midweek Absa Premiership losses when they meet at the Makhulong Stadium on Saturday 11 January 2020, kick-off at 15h30.

Highlands suffered their heaviest defeat of the season when they succumbed 3-0 away to Kaizer Chiefs on January 8 – their sixth loss of the season. The Lions of the North have claimed 16 points from eight home matches this league campaign.

Stellenbosch suffered a second successive home league defeat when they were beaten 2-1 by Bloemfontein Celtic on January 7 – a third loss from their last four outings in the top flight. Stellies have claimed just nine points from 10 away matches in the 2019/20 season.

In head-to-head stats, Highlands and Stellenbosch have met in just one previous top-flight match. That encounter took place earlier this season, with the teams drawing 0-0 at Cape Town Stadium in November 2019.
