The continents ‘big guns’ will be aiming to book their place in the quarter-final stages of the 2019-20 Total CAF Champions League when they take to the field in the fourth round of group stage fixtures this weekend.
There will be a total of eight fixtures scattered across the continent with several teams perfectly poised to punch their knockout rounds ticket.
Group D rivals JS Kabylie and Raja Casablanca will kick things off in Tizi Ouzou on Friday evening, followed by Zamalek coming to blows with ZESCO United in Cairo.
The five-time champion White Knights know victory will take them one step closer to the last eight, while a win will also draw them level on points with first-placed TP Mazembe.
The action resumes on Saturday with five-time champions Mazembe to play host to Primeiro de Agosto in Lubumbashi.
Group C leaders Mamelodi Sundowns are well poised atop Group C following their 1-0 win over USM Alger late last year and will play host to the Algerian club in the South African capital this weekend.
Defending champions and Group D leaders Esperance de Tunis will also be in action away to AS Vita in Kinshasa while Group B leaders Al Ahly will be aiming to keep hold of their narrow advantage with victory away to FC Platinum in Bulawayo.
The record eight-time champions are locked on six points with both Al-Hilal and Etoile du Sahel after three rounds of group stage fixtures.
Mazembe’s Jackson Muleka is the top scorer in the competition with four goals from three matches having bagged a brace against both Zamalek and ZESCO United.
