Walid Azaro has joined Ettifaq FC on-loan for the remainder of the season.

Earlier this week, Zamalek ruled themselves out of the race for the Al Ahly forward as per KingFut and despite rumours persisting of a move to the White Knights, it has now been confirmed that he will play in Saudi Arabia’s top division.

The Moroccan forward had fallen out of favour at Al Ahly following the arrival of Aliou Badji from Austrian side Rapid Vienna, with the Senegalese forward having taken up the club’s final foreign slot, leaving Azaro in the dark.

Zamalek, though, were quick to quash any rumours with Kabongo Kasongo having returned to the club to fill their foreign quota and the Red Devils have since sent Azaro out on-loan.

Azaro has scored 41 goals in in 89 appearances for Al Ahly since joining club in 2017 and is still contracted to the Cairo giants until next year.

Ettifaq FC currently occupy 10th place in Pro League table. He joins fellow North African star Rais M’bolhi at the club and is set to replace the recently departed Fakhreddine Ben Youssef in attack
