Zanaco, Motema in crunch clash

Zanaco will welcome DC Motema Pembe to the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka for a crunch 2019-20 Total CAF Confederation Cup group stage clash on Sunday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 3:00pm CAT (GMT +2).

The two clubs head into the fixture on the back of Group B wins over ESAE (3-0) and RS Berkane (1-0) respectively, with a double from Rodgers Kola leading this week’s hosts to victory at the same stadium last time out.

Zanaco sit a point behind both Berkane and Motema after four rounds of fixtures, with The Bankers having accumulated six points from their allotted fixtures.

With only two rounds of fixtures remaining, Zanaco know the importance of this weekend’s showdown with a tough trip away to Berkane to follow in the final round of group stage matches.

Zanaco head into the clash in good form having registered four straight wins under head coach Chris Kaunda, which has duly eased their troubles in the Zambian Super League.

Motema currently occupy third place in Democratic Republic of Congo’s top division.
