French Ligue 1 club Rennes are reportedly keen on signing Huddersfield Town forward Steve Mounie.
According to Eurosport via France Football Rennes have made contact with Mounie’s representative to discuss a potential transfer.
Mounie signed for the Terriers from Montpellier in 2017, having come through the ranks at the club.
Huddersfield are believed to value the striker at around £8 million.
The Benin international has scored three goals in 14 Championship games this season in what has been a generally difficult campaign for the club following their relegation from England’s top-flight.
In total, the 25-year-old has 14 goals in 79 games for Huddersfield.
Rennes are enjoying a much better season and currently occupy third place in France’s top-division, four points above Mounie’s former club Montpellier.
