Morocco international Walid Azaro has opened up about working with Al Ahly coach Rene Weiler.
The lethal marksman recently joined Saudi Professional League outfit Al Ettifaq from Egyptian giants Al Ahly on loan until the end of the season.
Azaro struggled for game time under Swiss tactician Weiler, who joined the club prior to the start of the current season.
“There were plenty of questions that I tried finding answers to in the last six months at Al Ahly but that didn’t happen,” Azaro told Al Nahar TV channel.
“I played some games, I scored goals and then I didn’t play the next game without any reason. When I played again, I scored, but I went back to the bench.
“Any manager has to talk to his players that don’t play regularly and explain to them why this is happening but Weiler never did that,” he added.
“Throughout my time at Al Ahly, I have always had a good relationship with the club and never had any problems with them. I respect the manager’s decisions but it has to be logical.”
Azaro helped Al Ahly win two Egyptian Premier League titles and 2017 Egyptian Super Cup.
