AmaZulu and Polokwane City will meet for an Absa Premiership bottom-of-the-log battle at the Kings Park Stadium on Sunday 2 February 2020, kick-off at 15h30.

AmaZulu suffered a third straight loss and extended their winless run to five matches with a 1-0 reverse away to Orlando Pirates on January 25. Usuthu have claimed just eight points from nine games as hosts in this league campaign.

Polokwane suffered a 12th defeat from their last 14 league outings when they lost 1-0 at Stellenbosch on January 25. Rise and Shine have taken just seven points from 10 away matches so far in the 2019/20 season.

In head-to-head stats, Polokwane and AmaZulu have met in nine league matches since 2013/14. Rise and Shine have claimed three wins compared to two for Usuthu, while four games have been drawn. The Durban side has recorded two wins, one draw and one defeat from four home matches in the rivalry.

When the teams met earlier this season, at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in August 2019, Polokwane claimed a 1-0 win thanks to a late strike from Mohammed Anas. Rise and Shine are unbeaten in their last five league matches against Usuthu.
