There are still two places up for grabs in the knockout stages of the 2019-20 Total CAF Confederation Cup ahead of this weekend’s round of action.

With one round of group stage matches remaining, six teams have booked their quarter-final ticket.

Pyramids FC, Al-Masry RS Berkane, Horoya AC, Al-Nasr and Hassania Agadir are ensured a place in the next round, leaving four teams to battle for the remaining two spots on Sunday.

Both Group A and C are done and dusted with Pyramids to advance as group winners no matter their result this weekend, due to their superior head-to-head record against fellow Egyptian club Al-Masry.

As for Group C, Al-Nasr could still jump above Horoya to claim top spot, but will need to better the 3-0 loss they suffered in the reverse fixture in Conakry.

This leaves a place apiece up for grabs in both Group B and D. Either Motema Pembe or Zanaco will advance alongside last season’s runners-up, RS Berkane in Group B.

Zanaco hold a two point advantage over the Democratic Republic of Congo club, but will have the tough task of needing at least a point in Morocco to ensure their passage into the knockout stages. Only a win in Kinshasa coupled with a loss for the Zambians will result in progress for Motema.

The permutations are similar for both Enyimba and Paradou AC in Group D. Both teams are away this weekend and while the Nigerians will be sure of a place in the quarter-finals if they manage at least a draw away to FC San Pedro, Paradou will need to beat leaders Hassania Agadir and hope for a favour from the Ivorian’s.
