Mamelodi Sundowns and TP Mazembe finished the 2019-20 Total CAF Champions League group stages on a high.
The two clubs will enter the knockout stages among the favourites to clinch the crown, having registered an unbeaten record on their way to booking their quarter-final tickets.
Both teams accumulated 14 points from six matches with four wins and two draws from their allotted fixtures in Group A and C respectively.
Sundowns completed a club record campaign with a 1-0 win over Wydad Casablanca in South Africa, with a first-half penalty from Ricardo Nascimento the difference between the two teams.
Mazembe secured all three points with a 3-1 win over over ZESCO United in Lubumbashi, thanks in large to a brace for Jackson Muleka who moved up to seven goals atop the scoring charts.
Zamalek will join their fellow five-time champions in the knockout stages from Group A and they ended their group campaign with a 0-0 draw away to Primeiro de Agosto.
Petro Atletico and USM Alger played to a 2-2 draw in what was a dead rubber clash in Group C, with the Angolans netting twice in two second-half minutes to conjure a point.
