Zambian side Zanaco are confident of reaching the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.
This comes after Bankers were drawn against Egyptian outfit Pyramids FC in the quarter-final draw on Wednesday.
According to the Zambian National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC), Zanaco coach Chris Kaunda knows how to handle a team like Pyramids.
“He said the players accounted themselves well in Morocco and can handle any team that comes their way in this case Pyramids Football Club.”
“Kaunda further said the team has now shifted focus to their FAZ/MTN Super League game against Kabwe warriors over weekend,” a statement read on the ZNBC website read.
While the club’s general manager Marlon Kananda said management and club will continue to work hard so that the team can thrive in all competition.
“Kananda said reaching the quarter-finals is a milestone for the Club adding that discipline and hard work is needed for the team to make it to the semi-finals,” another statement read.
Zanaco will host Pyramids in Lusaka on March 1st and travel to Egypt for the return leg to be played on the 8th of March 2020.
