Polokwane City and Zizwe United were both eliminated from the 2019/20 Nedbank Cup on Tuesday night.

The two teams bowed out of the South African FA Cup after recording defeats in the Last 32.

Polokwane succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against fellow Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Baroka FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Prince Nxumalo’s 74th minute goal saw Baroka reach the Last 16 where they will face lower division side Hungry Lions, while Polokwane crashed out of the competition.

Meanwhile, Zizwe were eliminated from the tournament after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Happy Wanderers at the Athlone Stadium.

Mxolisi Mazibuko’s first-half goal helped Wanderers overcome their ABC Motsepe League rivals, Zizwe.

As a result, Wanderers will now face GladAfrica Championship side TS Sporting in the Last 16, while Zizwe are eliminated.
