Liverpool are set to welcome Senegal international Sadio Mane back from injury when they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road this evening.
Reds head coach Jürgen Klopp confirmed during the club’s pre-match press conference that both Mane and James Milner are in contention to play some part during this weekend’s clash.
The duo returned to full training earlier this week having fully recovered from injury with Mane having missed the club’s last two league matches.
Klopp is quoted as saying by the club’s official website : “Of course they are in contention, it’s clear.
“When Millie [Milner] and Sadio are back, you start thinking immediately. That’s how it is.
“We have some good options and hopefully it stays like this, that would be really great for the decisive part of the season now.
“It’s good news. They both trained from Monday – and they both trained through the last week anyway – so they are in contention,” he concluded.
Mane, 27, has been directly involved in 26 goals in 31 appearances this season.
Liverpool currently hold a 22-point lead atop the English Premier league standings.
