Former Internazionale goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi has called for Victor Moses to start tonight’s Serie A top-of-the-table clash between Lazio and Internazionale in Rome.
The clash sees league leaders Inter face hosts Le Aquile at the Stadio Olimpico, with just one separating the teams heading into the clash. Reigning champions Juventus, who host Brescia in an afternoon match, are also in the equation as they are level on points with the Nerazzurri.
Moses, who joined Inter on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window, has featured in 93 minutes of Serie A football across two appearances. He has already provided one assist and impressed with his pace and power down the right flank.
Castellazzi certainly hopes to see Moses start the match, arguing that a formation with wing-backs would allow another new recruit, midfielder Christian Eriksen, to thrive.
The former goalkeeper told Sportitalia’s ‘Aspettando il Weekend‘: “The tactical question of Inter is, if Christian Eriksen will propose, to understand how he will be used. I am not convinced that he will start from the beginning, but it is my idea.
“Victor Moses and Ashley Young are players ready to use, ready to be thrown in. We have seen the results: great physicality needed on the exterior [flanks].”
Moses is on loan at the Italian club until the end of the year but no doubt hoping to remain on a permanent basis, given the way he has thrived under manager Antonio Conte.
