Arsenal FC starlet Eddie Nketiah has hailed the influence of Pierre-Emerick Auabmeyang at the English giants.
The young English striker says he it is “a privilege” to play alongside the Gabon international after Arsenal thumped Newcastle United 4-0 on Sunday.
Nketiah, who is of Ghanaian descent, made his first English Premier League start in the win against Newcastle and he has discussed fellow striker Aubameyang’s influence.
“Pierre is a top player and a top person,” Nketiah told the club’s official website.
“He leads by example and I think everyone is trying to do their bit to chip in with the goals and obviously when I’m on I’m trying to score and contribute to the team.
“Pierre is doing excellently at the moment and he’s such a great guy and such a great person to learn off,” he added.
“I’m privileged to play with him and it’s nice to get back out there and play alongside him.”
Aubameyang netted his 15th league goal of the season in the victory over Newcastle.
The Arsenal captain is now two goals behind the league’s top goalscorer, Jamie Vardy of Leicester City.
