Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis believes that they can defeat Odion Ighalo’s Manchester United next week.
The forward was on the scoresheet for Belgian side Club Brugge as they drew 1-1 with United in the UEFA Europa League clash on Thursday night.
Dennis, who opened the scoring against the English giants, is unhappy with the fact that his side could not secure a win at home.
“I always try to score when I get the chance. Sometimes it works out well, and sometimes it doesn’t,” Dennis said on the club’s official website.
“I just want to score goals for the team. But I’m not happy with how the game went. More was in it.
The 22-year-old player feels that anything is possible ahead of the Last 32 second-leg clash in Manchester on February 27.
“More was in it. We wanted the win, but didn’t succeed. We now have to work towards that second leg at Old Trafford,” he added.
“Everything’s possible in football, we will see what happens there.”
Dennis has netted nine goals across all competitions for Club Brugge this season.
