The UEFA Champions League action will take centre stage on Tuesday and we take a look at an African star likely to feature.
Italian side SSC Napoli will be without Senegalese central defender Kalidou Koulibaly when they host Spanish champions FC Barcelona.
The highly-rated player, who is Napoli’s first-choice defender, will miss the Round of 16 first-leg encounter due to injury.
However, Algeria international Faouzi Ghoulam will be hoping to get a chance to prove himself against five-time Champions League winners Barcelona.
The 29-year-old player will also be looking to make his first appearance in this season’s competition as he competes with Mario Rui in the left-back position.
While Ansu Fati, who remains eligible to play for Guinea-Bissau, is expected to play for Barcelona at the iconic Stadio San Paolo.
The 17-year-old Bissau-born player was granted Spanish citizenship last September renouncing his Bissau-Guinean citizenship.
However, the left-winger is yet to play a competitive match for Spain’s senior national team.
There will be no African players in the other clash between English giants Chelsea and German champions Bayern Munich.
