Egypt international Trezeguet is looking forward to playing in the English Football League (EFL) Carabao Cup final.
Trezeguet and his Aston Villa teammates are scheduled to face English champions Manchester City at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
The 24-year-old attacker will be playing in his first major cup final in England since joining Villa from Turkish side Kasimpasa in July 2019.
“We are ready for the cup final. Of course, we feel confident because we reached the final after each player worked very hard,” Trezeguet told the club’s official website.
“Due to this work, we are in the final. I was happy for my goal [against Leicester] but it also came thanks to my teammates who help me a lot.
“Of course it is an amazing feeling when you play in Villa Park. Fans always support us and we always fight for them to make them happy,” he added.
“We will do everything and we will wait for them on Sunday.”
Trezeguet, whose full name is Mahmoud Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan, scored the goal which sent Villa to the final against Leicester City last month.
