Nicolas N’koulou is set to make his return to the Cameroon national team for back-to-back 2021 Arica Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique this month.

The 29-year-old has been included in the country’s 33-man preliminary squad and looks set to feature for the Indomitable Lions for the first time since the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final.

Nkoulou embarked on a self-imposed three year hiatus from the national team following Cameroon’s triumph in Gabon.

The Torino centre-back scored for the West African’s in a 2-1 win over Egypt in the final as Cameroon claimed their fifth continental crown.

The former Monaco and Lyon defender has been on the books of Serie A club Torino since July 2018. He has made 26 appearances across all competitions this season.
