Egypt international Samy Morsy has beaten Nigerian defender Leon Balogun to the Wigan Athletic Player of the Month accolade.
Morsy has been named Player of the Month for February 2020, earning 35% of your votes according to the club’s official website.
It’s the Wigan captain and midfielder’s second award in a row having picked up the same accolade for January.
His teammate Balogun received 26% of the votes, with 19% going to striker Kieffer Moore.

“He’s been unbelievable, along with a few others in putting in big performances,” Morsy said on the site.
“The lads at the back have been immense, Ceddy, Leon Balogun, Naisy when he was in, Tom Pearce, just at the right time for us.
“I’m very close with Samy because we’ve played together for years and if you see when we both play; we tend to have a good link between us,” he added.
“Samy is a big driving force in our team, but he’ll be the first to reinforce that it’s a team effort from all of the boys.”
Morsy scored twice during the month against Middlesbrough and English Championship leaders West Bromwich Albion.
