The CAF Confederation Cup wrapped up its quarterfinal ties on Sunday, with Nigerian heavyweights Enyimba bowing out, while Hassania Agadir and RS Berkane have set up an all-Moroccan showdown.

The People’s Elephant were beaten 2-0 away to Guinea club Horoya AC in Conakry, with Bolaji Sakin and Boubacar Samassekou scoring the goals to see HAC secure a 3-1 aggregate triumph.

Horoya will face Egyptian team Pyramids in the semifinals – Ante Cacic’s side suffered a surprise 1-0 loss at home to Zambia’s Zanaco but they progressed 3-1 overall, having done the hard yards with an emphatic away win in Lusaka last weekend.

Hassania Agadir of Morocco were in an even stronger position against Libya’s Al Nasr, having won 5-0 away in the first leg. They eased to a 2-0 home win today, with goals from Karim El Berkaoui (who scored a hat-trick last weekend) and Redah Atassi to wrap up a massive 7-0 aggregate triumph.

They will face compatriot side RS Berkane, with the Oranges edging Egypt’s Al Masry 1-0 at home in a night clash, sealing a 3-2 aggregate triumph overall. Larbi Naji scored the key goal for RSB, who were runners-up in the continental competition last season and looking determined to go one step further this year.

The semifinals of the Confederation Cup are set to be played over two legs in the first two weekends of May. The winners will meet in the final on May 24, with the venue set to be the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco – subject to confirmation from CAF.
