Besiktas are reportedly keen on signing on-loan Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny for another season.

According to Turkish Football Besiktas are hoping to keep hold of the Egypt international past the 2019-20 league season, but will need the Gunners to drop their asking price.

The Black Eagles reportedly have an €18m buy option, but will not activate said clause due to financial fair play regulations.

Alternatively, Besiktas want Arsenal to cover part of the 27-year-old’s wages and send him back on-loan to Turkey for another season – if a permanent solution cannot be found for the midfielder’s future.

Elneny still has another two-years remaining on his current Arsenal deal, but it is unlikely that he will play for the North London club again.

The former FC Basel midfielder has made 27 appearances across all competitions for Besiktas this season. The Black Eagles currently occupy fifth spot in the Turkish Super Lig, nine points off top spot.
