French coach Patrice Carteron is open to extending his contract with Egyptian giants Zamalek.
This is according to the club chairman Mortada Mansour, who is keen to keep the accomplished tactician.
Carteron has tasted some success with the White Knights having led them to the 2019 CAF Super Cup triumph.
Mansour has now provided an update on Carteron’s contract situation with Zamalek when speaking on King Fut.
“Zamalek are open to renewing Carteron’s contract with the club and continue with him as manager and the same could be said for Carteron,” Mortada said.
“Carteron informed us that he renews his contract at the end of each season and only signs a one-year contract, which is normal for club managers.”
Carteron also masterminded the White Knights’ aggregate win over Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis in a CAF Champions League League quarter-final tie earlier this month.
He will be hoping to guide Zamalek to their 13th Egyptian Premier League title, but the season has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
