Real Madrid have reportedly entered the race to sign Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez at the end of the season.
According to Don Balon the Spanish giants are interested in signing the Algeria international.
Mahrez has been heavily linked with a move away from the English Premier League club this week, with Paris Saint-Germain also said to be monitoring his situation at Etihad Stadium.
The 29-year-old, who joined City from league rivals Leicester City in 2018, has scored nine goals and assisted a further 14 in 37 appearances for the Sky Blues across all competitions this season.
Despite this, Mahrez has continued to have to settle for squad role at City, with the club boasting several quality wing players on their books. But due to City’s uncertainty regarding European football for the next two seasons, this is a luxury the might have to forfeit.
This could subsequently lead to the sale of several key players and Mahrez has been tipped as one of those likely to leave City at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
