Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi faces an uncertain future.
Real Madrid are reportedly hoping for Hakimi to return to the Santiago Bernabeu following his successful loan spell with Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season, but the Spanish giants can’t guarantee him playing time.
According to AS Real are keen to have Hakimi back in their squad, but know his desire to play regular football could result in him having to leave the club once more.
Hakimi has been excellent for Dortmund over the past two seasons since joining the club on a two-year loan deal in 2018.
The 21-year-old has not only established himself as a regular member of the Dortmund team, but one of the most versatile players in Europe.
Hakimi has not only flourished at right-back, but also caught the eye at left-back and further up field where he has proven to be a real danger with Dortmund having used him prominently down the right wing this season.
With Dani Carvajal still commanding the right-back spot in Madrid, Hakimi’s future with Real is uncertain, but the Spanish seem eager to extend his current deal which is set to expire in 2021.
Hakimi has scored 10 goals and assisted 17 in 65 appearances for Dortmund.
