Swiss coach Rene Weiler has opened up about quarantined in the Egyptian capital city, Cairo.
The Egyptian Premier League has been suspended due to the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease.
Weiler is currently in charge of the biggest football club on the African continent, Al Ahly.
The former Switzerland international has now discussed life in Egypt where public gatherings are prohibited and schools have been shut down.
“The hotel I’m staying at has 400 rooms,” Weiler was quoted as saying by Blick.
“But we are still around ten people in the breakfast room, some managers and I.
“It has become incredibly quiet in Cairo and from 7 PM, there is a curfew,” he added.
“But I have a gym here, I work on my laptop, I read a lot and I communicate with people. No, I don’t get bored. There are worse fates.”
Weiler’s Al Ahly are sitting at the top of the Egyptian Premier League log having remarkably recorded 16 wins and one draw from 17 matches.
