Leicester City have reportedly identified Habib Diallo as a potential replacement for Jamie Vardy if the England forward leaves the King Power Stadium at the end of the season.
Accordingly to Le Quotiduen Du Foot the Foxes are tracking the Senegal international who has starred in Ligue 1 this season.
Diallo has scored 12 goals in 26 appearances for Metz in France’s top division this season, while he has also captained the side on several occasions as they continue to do battle at the wrong end of the log standings.
Chelsea, Leeds United and Crystal Palace are also reported to have expressed interest in the 24-year-old striker who has scored a total of 48 goals in 111 games for Metz over the last five years.
Diallo, who previously spent time on-loan at Stade Brest, has made two appearances for the Lions of Teranga.
Leicester currently occupy third place in the English Premier League, having beaten Aston Villa 4-0 before the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the indefinite postponement of top-flight football.
