Mamelodi Sundowns legend Roger Feutmba believes the club must do the right thing and make sure Pitso Mosimane remains at Chloorkop past the 2019-20 season.

Brazilians head coach, Mosimane, has been in contract talks with the current Absa Premiership holders for several months now and despite expressing his desire to remain with Sundowns, negotiations have seemingly stalled.

The 55-year-old took over the reins at Sundowns in 2012 and has transformed the club into one of the best on the African continent.

In an exclusive interview with KickOff.com, Feutmba expressed his admiration for Mosimane and explained that the former Bafana Bafana coach still has unfinished business at Chloorkop.

“Pitso Mosimane must stay at Sundowns. What people want, management want and supporters want are the results and I believe he has given that a lot to the team,” Feutmba told KickOff.com.

“But we must remember it’s not only about the team, it is up to coach Pitso if he wants to move away from Sundowns or not, to look for another challenge and all that.

“For him to stay at Downs there’s still a lot to learn, a lot of challenges trying to win the league and making sure he gets another CAF Champions League.

He added: There’s always a big challenge for a big team like Sundowns, so why not stay? I think they must consider him staying a little bit longer.”

In total, Mosimane has won eight major titles as Sundowns head coach including the 2016 CAF Champions League crown.
