Riyad Mahrez joined Manchester City from Premier League rivals Leicester City on a five-year contract in July 2018.
At the time, the £60m fee paid for the Algeria international made him the most expensive African footballer and also City’s most expensive singing to date.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a superb first season with the club, winning the English Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup in the 2019-20 season before leading his country to the Africa Cup of Nations crown in Egypt.
City defended their Carabao Cup title with victory over Aston Villa last month and Mahrez looks sure to add more silverware to his collection in years to come.
Mahrez scored his first Premier League goal for City in a 5-0 win over Cardiff City and also found the back of the net as the club clinched Premier League glory with a 4-1 victory away to Brighton on the final day of last season.
In total, he has scored 14 goals in 50 Premier League appearances for City and you can watch all of them right here:
