Achraf Hakimi’s future is no closer to being resolved.
According to Goal, the Morocco international has not agreed a new contract with Real Madrid.
A report in Marca had suggested that Hakimi had signed a new deal with the Spanish LaLiga giants to keep him contracted to the club until 2023, but according to Goal this is not the case.
Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano told Goal and SPOX that discussions regarding his client’s future will only be held once the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which has claimed just under 65 000 lives, has been brought under control.
The 21-year-old joined German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund on a two-year loan deal in 2018 and is set to report back to Madrid at the end of the 2019/20 season.
Hakimi has taken his game to a whole new level in Germany, becoming an integral member of the Dortmund squad.
In total, he has scored 10 goals and assisted a further 17 in 65 appearances for the club while playing in several positions including both left and right-back. He has proven his versatility and excelled as a wide midfielder in the current campaign.
