Asamoah Gyan is Africa’s leading goalscorer at senior men’s FIFA World Cup tournaments.

The Ghana international scored six goals across three World Cup tournaments (2006, 2010 and 2014).

Gyan, 34, scored after just two minutes in Ghana’s 2-0 win over Czech Republic at the 2006 World Cup tournament in Germany before finding the back of the net on three occasions in the Black Stars’ run to the quarterfinals in South Africa four years later.

He added two more goals at the showpiece in Brazil six years ago; finding the back of the net against eventual winners Germany and Portugal.
