Senegal international Keita Balde has said that Lions of Teranga teammate Sadio Mane could consider leaving Liverpool in the future.
Mane has been linked with a move to Spanish LaLiga giants Real Madrid over recent months and Balde insists that the Reds star is unlikely to stay at Anfield ‘forever’ despite being contracted to the club until 2023.
Los Blancos head coach Zinedine Zidane is said to be a huge admirer of the 27-year-old who has scored 14 goals and assisted a further nine in in 26 Premier League games this season.
Talking to AS, as reported by the Daily Mail Balde said: “It depends on many things. I don’t know what his decision is. In a year or two, you may want to change.
“I don’t think he wants to be there forever. He is a smart boy and he knows what is good for him and what he has to do. But in Madrid they are giving out many names.
Balde continued: “The coach loves him very much. He has given a lot to Liverpool and Liverpool to him.
“Something very attractive has to come for him to leave Liverpool. A big team would have to come and promise him many things to think about it.
“He’s a great boy. He deserves the best. He is humble and nobody has given him anything. He deserves to be where he is today,” Balde concluded.
The current African Footballer of the Year arrived at Anfield in 2016 after starring for English Premier League rivals Southampton.
