Achraf Hakimi is hoping to break into the Real Madrid’s starting XI.

According to Le10Sport, the Morocco international wants to play for Los Blancos next season.

Hakimi, who’s contract in Madrid expires in June 2021, will return to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium at the end of the season following two seasons on-loan at German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

During his time in Germany, Hakimi has established himself as one of the most exciting talents in world football while also showcasing his versatility in different positions.

A right-back by trade, Hakimi has played at left-back and in midfield for Dortmund over the last two seasons and has excelled in a more advanced role during the current campaign.

The 21-year-old has scored seven goals and assisted a further 10 in 37 appearances across all competitions and his form hasn’t gone unnoticed, with club’s from across Europe said to be keeping a close eye on how his future unfolds.

Hakimi is eager is to play for Real Madrid next season, but might find games hard to come by with Daniel Carvajal the club’s first choice right-back.

Dortumund are said to be eager on signing Hakimi to a permanent deal and he could be tempted to do so if Real can’t offer him regular game time.
