Bongani Zungu has expressed his desire to secure a move to the Spanish LaLiga ahead of the 2020/21 season.
According to Get Football News France, the Bafana Bafana international is eager to leave Amiens in the coming months.
Amiens were unceremoniously relegated from the French Ligue 1 this week after the season was scrapped due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
This has seemingly added fuel to Zungu’s desire to metaphorically spread his wings, having come so close joining Real Mallorca in January.
Zungu, who joined Amiens from Vitória Guimarães SC in 2017, was also the subject of several bids from LaLiga club Espanyol in 2018 and has again made it clear that he hopes to be plying his trade in Spain in the near future.
“I would love to play in Spain, in La Liga. I think the league is nice, the teams play football, and yeah I would like to hopefully get a club in Spain,” the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder told Get Football News France.
The 27-year-old has scored two goals in 57 appearances for Amiens.
